See other threads - search for RTC eg

How about the accuracy and stability.
Internal 32Khz oscillator is poor. Data sheet has kHz/Temp and kHz/Vcc plots.
External Osc is as good as the external Osc specs.
After the power is cut off, the RTC is powered by the battery. At this time, only the RTC is working, or is part of the MCU also running, how about the power consumption?
See other threads. There is no separate RTC Vcc, so the normal backup is diodes on Vcc, meaning the whole chip is powered in a sleep state.
The above two questions are compared with a separate external clock chip. What are the differences and pros and cons.
External Clock chip will have a higher price, more BOM, but also usually lower Icc, and separate power so RTC info is not lost during system reset or power-cycling.
